Bambinelli Sunday

Bambinelli Sunday is a beautiful tradition that was started by Saint John Paul II.  This year we will celebrate Bambinelli Sunday on the 3rd Sunday of Advent, December 17th after all weekend Masses.

You are all invited to bring baby Jesus figurine from your home creche scene to church for a special blessing - a blessing to bring back to your homes and families.

Advent is a time when Catholics prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas.  Bless the Baby Jesus Devotion is an opportunity to reinforce the central place of Jesus within our families.

To benefit and continue to aid victims of the hurricane that caused flooding and destruction in Puerto Rico, the Knights of Columbus Councils in Chapter IV and the Elks Club are sponsoring a fund raising event on Friday evening, December 15, 2017 from 6 to 11 PM.

The event will take place in Elks Club of New Brunswick, 40 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.  Tickets are $35 per person and donations will be greatly appreciated.  Entertainment will be provided by "Alborada Flamenco Dancers," DJ Tony "El Terrible" and "All Star Trio El Galan."

The need for assistance is great; please be as generous as your means allow.  Thank you.

                                                                                                                            Lector Ministry

Our Parish is in need of recruiting additional Lectors, especially for our evening Masses (6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday).  To proclaim the Word of God is an important ministry so we are seeking individuals who are willing to make a true commitment to serve. Would-be Lectors will have a guidebook and other resource materials as well as training sessions to assist them in this mission. All those interested in serving should contact Sr. Mary at St. Mary’s Convent, 732-545-0514. Please give this call your serious consideration.
